Problem: Users could not directly search for recipes and had to go through several steps to find what they were looking for.
Solution: Simplify the user flow and improve the experience.
Process: After reviewing analytics, I saw that the many steps and lack of search were the problem areas that caused users to bounce. I had the idea to shape the experience into a one step process which would allow users to sort and search in one place vs going through several pages and steps to get to what they needed. I modeled the new flow around a more “filter” based experience which would allow the user to control their journey and increase findability. I worked with the e-Biz (web development) team to iron out the experience and design, then was responsible for migrating everything over once they had the new version ready to go.
